Advanced Skills Teachers - you can request support!

ASTs are teachers who have been recognised through external assessment as having excellent classroom practice

ASTs specialise in teaching and learning and their skills in this area are used within their own school and with teachers from other schools through agreed outreach work.

Staffordshire has a number of ASTs who specialise in various aspects of the arts; those who specialise in music are listed on the music website www.sln.org.uk/music .

Simply download the request form. It will take about 5 minutes to complete and then you send it to the 'Outreach Manager', for  Phil - Mel Harrison , and for Stephen - Trevor Jones.

Please remember, Stephen and Phil are employed for their skills as a teacher - your request should reflect this. In addition, request one session to begin with and subsequently plan for additional use of their time.
