School Federation -
practical skills workshops
|
What is this?
This is where a cluster of schools within a pyramid or district agree to come together for specific hands on CPD opportunities. How might it benefit my school / staff? Subject co-ordinators can network with colleagues from other schools to gain/share their developing skills in a chosen area. Where purchased tutors are recruited the costs are shared between partner schools. The workshops are focussed- allowing for the development of rigorous knowledge, skills and understanding. Please contact: Mel Harrison, if you are interested in finding out more. Tel: 01785 278263

Events have been planned to provide a variety of programmes which address national and regional issues.
Ranges of practical workshop sessions are planned where teachers can engage with artists and further develop their own skills and understanding.
Conferences are planned to provide first hand opportunities of network with subject leaders within the county. A feature of these is the exchange of concepts, and the practical applications. Invited Artists, Craftsperson and Designer of National importance give insights it to their work via a seminar format. Heads of Department and subject managers describe the structure and outcomes from a range of contexts.
Subject specific, these network meetings are invaluable tools. They provide detail on current issues regional and material events and celebrate good practice.
A subscription information service to Staffordshire schools offers further opportunity to network features and reports of local, regional and national importance. Please visit the Staffordshire Learning Intranet.
