ART CRAFT DESIGN RESOURCES

Resources ought to cover all three areas, from different historical periods and including references to other cultures. They should include women artists where possible.

Always buy resources in relation to planning needs, do not just rely upon publishers visits to schools, the ‘remainders’ shops or commercially produced ‘sets’ of work. It is harder to design around resources for which there may be little staff/pupil interest, than it is to properly resource your planning, although there may be financial constraints to doing this well in the short term.

The lists below are not definitive, but attempt to cover each aspect in chronological order as a basic focus.

Where the names of artists are underlined you will be connected to a relevant web site for this.
