Artsmark
If any schools are preparing for Artsmark Round
8 or need to renew their Artsmark status, the round seven applications
are currently being developed and will be available in July, with a
November deadline for submission. There are three separate application
forms: primary schools (with middle schools), secondary schools, and
special schools and pupil referral units. The criteria will be broadly
the same for each phase with some minor adaptations to give special
schools and pupil referral units more flexibility. All these documents
will be available to download on the website.

Artists
in Education |

Arts Alive! Investing in
the arts can transform schools. The arts can raise standards, change
attitudes, improve behaviour and increase the quality of teaching and
learning. These are the key messages to come out of research that QCA
has been carrying out over the past three years. The website takes a
closer look at how developing the arts can: enhance and enrich
pupils' education; contribute to school improvement;
improve links with the community and contribute to
the economy.
