Japan 3 - Tokyo megalopolis wipe out or urban extravaganza
All photographs can be used in any teaching and learning context in a
school but cannot be used for any other purposes.
3.1 Why is this guy so wiped out?
He works in ...
3.2
...this. Tokyo one of the biggest cities in the world.
3.3 It is a daily challenge
to travel, by train, by lift and walking.
3.4
This is a megalopolis of 15-20 million people depending on how you
measure it.You can just see the greenery!
3.5 One more modern, metal
and concrete skyscraper - how does it make you feel?
3.6
Much of it is low and medium rise buildings
3.7 Not a cm of space is wasted as it is so
expensive
3.8You don't get the
attraction of Tokyo. Well you might now. Lets start with the
nightlife
3.9 Eating out and drinking. Japanese
life expectancy is one of the highest in the world - the low fat
diet with fish and fresh vegetables is partly responsible.
3.10 Hope you like fish! Delicious!
3.11 Shopping modern
3.12 Shopping local.
3.13
A fish mad country
3.14 A quick snack for the workers
3.15 Now if you add work, a temple, then karaoke and
sake, shopping, walking and you know why the guy was wiped out.
Wouldn't you be!
3.16 Just get the scale,
count the storie and remember their are 50 that you can't see.
3.17 Just occasionally there is a suburban paddy field
to break up the concrete.
3.18Thanks to Yasu and Fiona for these photographs.
