3.'Magic Stones' explores the causes and solutions of desertification of the Sahel. Thanks to Steve Brady and the pupils of year 8 at Walton High School, Stafford.
4.Desertification - it pays to be up to date - the latest news on Sahel.  The latest article suggests the rainfall has increased.

Magnificent wildlife5 The Serengeti National Park in Tanzania is one of the largest areas of savanna in Africa. www.serengeti.org  It is connected to the Masai Mara www.masai-mara.com in Kenya. 
The great migration6.Kenyaology www.kenyalogy.com/index.html is a good site for maps, information and images as well as safari tourism.
7.Australia has savannas  http://savanna.ntu.edu.au/information and this site is a delight.  There is even a mini GIS of the region of Northern Australia.
