brilliant global database of images.

2. Landsat
7 from NASA
http://landsat.gsfc.nasa.gov
has satellite images the world over - but I loved the section Earth
as Art.

3.Unversity of
Dundee http://www.sat.dundee.ac.uk/interesting.html
is the best of the bunch from the UK with a set of images with certain
weather conditions and hazards like this oil spill from the Sea Empress.

| 4. The Satellite Centre for Schools http://www.satproj.org.uk is very helpful from a schools point of view. |
5. Visible Earth http://visibleearth.nasa.gov
is the bright lights web site using light pollution to map urbanisation.
Also there are many about environmental impacts |
| 6. Aerial photography of the UK - As you know you can get low resolution photography via www.multimap.com A schools supplier in the UK is Wildgoose http://www.wgoose.co.uk/frm/index2.htm which is linked to www.getmapping.com now has full coverage of aerial photography. |
| 7. Rainforest Images from The Brazilian Space Agency www.grid.inpe.br |
| 8. Aerial images of the USA etc. http://www.terraserver.microsoft.com can be accessed by Place Name, from a Map Search or by Co-ordinates. There is not, however, full coverage. |

European Space Agency http://www.esa.int/
has some good stories including the monitoring of rainforest fires and
some great ozone posters.
