Why can't Maria Gonzales afford enough tortillas for her family? This mystery explores the links between bioethanol and tortillas in Mexico. Paul Williams from Shrewsbury School in Thailand created this after watching a recent news report.  Mystery cards here Paul thinks it may also fit with Global Warming and Agriculture.
Development Trade and Aid resources for the People Work and Development unit of our GCSE course.  'Debt Rap' was used as a warmer exercise. The pupils first watched the video clip about debt from www.makepovertyhistory.com   Then they analysed to lyrics from the wrap to answer/discuss the questions .   'Two aid projects compared'  was used with a video called 'Trick or Treat' (rather old but no less useful) It was cut up and the pupils sorted the statements into two columns. They then made their notes more case specific by answering the questions on 'Are aid projects a good idea?' Rachel Wright, Ballard School, New Milton, Hampshire
