Introducing Geography World Cup 2006 and Locating
Countries, Continents & Capitals.
Today we are going to find
the countries that will be participating in the World Cup 2006 using the
internet with Google Earth software.
Work in pairs on
the computers to complete the worksheets.
Each person must
complete a worksheet.

You can use
atlases or Google Earth to complete the Worksheet. You must use either at least
five times.
The second page
of the work sheet has a few brief questions for Homework about which method you liked best.
You will be
assessed on the quality of information you collect and the work you complete on
your worksheets.
How it is time to begin. The
Software for Google Earth is available on line. Just click on the link below
and off you go.

You will need to access
Google Earth through the shortcut on your desktop after this.
Tip: If you have trouble
finding the country using Google Earth- type the name in the search at the top
left hand corner. Trouble identifying the capital cities- Look for the Stars!!!
