speediest glacier!
This
is the world’s most active glacier, which moves at around 25 metres a day,
shedding icebergs along a 10 km. wide front, producing a daily total of
around 20 million tons of ice! That’s an awful lot to put in the
champagne!

Matt
Amison St. Margaret Ward School, Stoke-on-Trent wrote: 'On a visit to the
Atlas Mountains in April 2000 I took this photo of a boulder in the village
of Imlil. Imlil lies next to the Mizane River which suffers from periodic
flash floods. The boulder in the photo was deposited in Imlil in a late 19th
Century flood. The most recent serious flood made news in 1995 and the

Carly
Goodwin from Holden Lane High School in Stoke was inspired by
Adam Nicholls talk, including the use of "mental maps" to explore the issues
of migration, that she created a very good PowerPoint presentation as
a stimulus for a piece of creative writing.
