2.1. This Silver Spring, Maryland. It is just outside the top apex of the diamond that is Washington DC.
2.2. A new downtown, with offices shops and restaurants is being developed. a suburb on the up!
2.3 1930s low rise apartments with wooded communal gardens
2.4 Next to the Metro is a snack- bagels. Note the high rise for commuters
2.5 New developments attract new clientele as real estate prices rise.
2.6 Latino women act as clears of the apartments
2.7 This is the view from the Blairs of the large supermarket
2.8 This is the view towards Washington DC. Can you believe it is city? The Cathedral and the Capitol is all you can see.
2.9 Well lets cross the State Line
2.10 Deer in a city?
2.11 Suburbia is large detached
2.12 As you head downtown, leafy suburbs
2.13  16th Street
2.14 The houses become terraced and smaller
2.13 Columbia Heights and inner city and have seen better days but now they are coming back with this new development 'Heights of Columbia'
2.15 A range of small services are available
2.16 Pawnbrokers suggest poorer communities
2.17 Car lots and garages
2.18Campaigns to clean up the area are underway and now it but it's now considered a "hot" neighborhood. Lots of renovation, new buildings, etc. Thanks to Kevin Wood for alerting me.
2.19 As you get closer to the Capitol, new office blocks are spring up to improve the area.

2.20Heading into Downtown DC - memorial and office blocks stay low rise
2.21 The Mall is a focus for National events as well as pleasant open space to stroll.
2.22 Like this 'Bikers' Parade called 'Roll of Thunder' a commemoration of Vietnam veterans
2.23The capitol is considered the centre of DC
 
 2.24 The street pandas attract tourists and locals alike.
2.25 Entering Georgetown - gentrified inner city
2.26 Smart shops, smart cars and smart bars
2.27 Trendy restaurants
2.28 The Chesapeake and Ohio Canal is used for tourists
2.29The canal side once industrial is now being used for apartments and office
2.30The Potomac is the boundary between DC and Virginia
2.31 Wide vistas and large long bridges
2.32 Andy finally to Roslyn where high rise is permitted again.
