	3.1. This is the Appalachian Mountains in Virginia. Shenandoah National Park. You are on the 'Trail of the Lonesome Pine'. If you are too young to recall this Laurel and Hardy song search for it on the internet. Here are the words. More about the lonesome pine later

	3.5 What is this park like? Glimpse of the valleys below at 3000 feet above sea level.

	3.8Why is it a protected landscape? Wildlife and beauty
	3.9 Black bears roam the park and people have to be careful when they are camping as bears are omnivore and a looking for anything to eat.
