Animated images

You too can create animated gifs...Have you got any sequences of photographs that look like this.  You need to use the sports action photography section and a graphics package or send us the sequence of stills.

More about how to do it another day...

These animations were made by PGCE students at The University of the West of England, Bristol, using Movie Maker and plasticine models.

Stack Formation (by Mark Jones and Paul Rycraft)

Spit formation (by Brent Peal, Nicola Miller and Dorian Brown)

An article is coming out on how to do these in the Spring Term Teaching Geography.

This is an animated sequence of a blowhole during a winter storm in Cornwall at Porth next to Newquay.

This is a wave breaking against the headland at Porth, Cornwall. The cliff here is probably 50ft high Sadly hemy tripod handy hence the wobble, but I think it is still quite dramatic.

Thanks to Peter Crawley (Head of Humanities at Richard Lander School, Cornwall
