Suggestions for use: This could be used as part of an enquiry on people and natural hazards, it could be used to develop more complexity and diversity about the nature of volcanoes to enable pupils to gain higher levels of understanding. It would follow on from class based work on plate tectonics and may extend work in year 9 or enhance examination study at GCSE.
