Task One

What you will learn:

  • How to recognise the differences and similarities between places where we live.
  • How to record information from observation.
  • How to write about your observations.

Look at the following site, this should be a familiar place to many of you!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/eastenders/walford_tour/index.shtml

Take the tour of Albert Square; find your way round by using the instructions given.

Think about these questions as you go along

1. Are the buildings old or new?

2. How many floors or storeys have the buildings got?

3. Are there any places for children to play?

4. Are there any shops?

5. Are the streets narrow or wide?

6. What types of transport are available to the people who live in Albert Square?
