Using Infonation 2000

Step 1

Open an InternetBrowser and type in this website address: www.un.org/Pubs/CyberSchoolBus/

Choose up to 7 countries by clicking in the white squares.  A tick should appear.

Step 2

You then click the data menu button and this screen should appear.  Select up to 4 indicators. And then submit it.

Step 3

You will get a nicely formatted table like this:

If you highlight the data and copy it, and then open Excel and paste it into a spreadsheet like this:

It is possible to manipulate it. Teachers can then create rogue data exercises.

Warning

Watch out for superscript footnotes in the data because 38² can become 382 for example. This is rogue data in itself.
