My Lost Child
My child's lost amongst the rubble.
My voice calls, out but to no avail, no reply reaches my ears.
My hands are searching, forever searching,
but i feel nothing but the roughness of broken bricks, no soft skin, no smooth
hair, just rough bricks.
Thought's are running through my mind.
Thought's of sorrow, of times gone by and most of all thought's of
despair.
Where's my daughter, will i see her again? will i hear her voice calling my
name? Will i hear her laugh again, will i feel the warmth of her skin against
mine as i hug her,
The softness of her face as i kiss her goodnight or will i ever get to see her
cry when she's fallen over?
I need to find my daughter so i can hold her, comfort her make her
laugh.
I need her to be here so she will know how much she's loved, how much she's
missed when she is gone.
I need her to look after me as i grow old and to brighten my day when she
visit's me after she's moved out of my house to build a new home for herself and
her family.
I see a shinning in the darkness under the rubble.
Is it my daughter's eyes or just My tears? i can't tell.
I search deeper, hope rising inside me, then i see my daughters face. ~
My heart grows lighter with the joy and with renewed energy i dig my daughter
free. I wipe the dust from her face as she lies so still. I hold her close to
me, one thought going through my mind. Is she dead or is she alive?
Then i see her eyelids flutter and her chest slowly rise she's alive!

Earthquake
Devastation all around
Buildings fallen to the ground
Bridges collapsed into river and sea
Everywhere lies human debris
Impossible to count the human cost
Of lives destroyed, of business lost
Families torn apart by mother nature
Wiping out a communities future
Everyone touched by the devastation
Far beyond the affected nation
Although man has conquered many things
He’s yet to conquer the suffering
And the destruction left in its wake
From the natural disaster we know as ...
EARTHQUAKE
Earthquakes
My heart was pounding
My hands were trembling
Flames licked my face
And smoke swirled around me
The ground was still shaking
I looked around me
Smoke, fire and disease was all l saw
What was once tall, elegant buildings,
Now piles of rubble
People were crying and moaning
Looking for lost things
I knew everything of mine was gone
My house, my belongings
My family
Living Ground
All still at the plates
No movement from the plates
But stuck are the plates then …..
Seismic waves
Shake the ground
Waking it from hibernation and is sent to destroy
The buildings topple crushing humans
Before their own eyes falling into pits
Roads and motorways
Feel the burn as
They crumble apart to
Give cars a blast.
Petrol and oil
Fumes are seen
From distance
Fire is grounds friend
Houses get panicked
Fire and water speed
Food and water need
Hustle, bustle
Then …..
And still at the plates
No movement from the plates
All still
At the plates
Still, still, still ….
Living ground …..
dies
Earthquake
Streets shake
Ground rumbles
Huge building
Quickly crumble
Pipes burst
Fires start
Roads crack
Bridges part
Town destroyed
Ravaged land
No building
Still stands
Hundreds dead
Thousands missing
People dig
Hoping
Wishing
No shelter
Damage done
People cry
Everything done

Hurt, alone and feeling pain,Louise

EARTHQUAKE!
Tremors, warning of the ever-restless movements of
the earth’s crust.
Plates continually in motion,
Perpetually jostling and grinding against each other.
Energy, building slowly, is suddenly unleashed - violently,
Wreaking devastation.
Buildings sway and topple to the ground.
Whole regions are reduced to rubble.
People run, screaming, shouting.
They are plunged into darkness
As their world crumbles at their feet.
Despairing victims mourn lost families.
Bewildered faces stare fearfully –
Man is no match for nature’s forces.
There is no hope – only tragedy.

EARTHQUAKE
Inside their houses,
Nice and warm,
Their technology,
Keeps them Calm,
Solid Foundations,
Insulation,
Safe and sound,
No hesitation,
Metal,
Steel,
How should we feel?
Rocks,
Concrete,
Their homes are complete.
Just Because,
We aren’t so "lucky",
Should our lives
Still be so "Mucky"?
All we’ve got,
Are old clay walls,
Deadly, Crushing,
No help at all.
Unseen, secret,
Unpredictable,
Unstoppable, Uncatchable,
Unconvictable.
Earthquake Terror,
Panic, Death,
Is this equality?
Life at it’s best?
Governments can help, SO LISTEN,
Why won’t the world realise?
That all the Kings horses and all the kings men,
Can not start to put back together our lives.

EARTHQUAKE
Buildings reduced to rubble
People trapped under debris
Screams for help
Water and food unavailable
Disease imminent
Rescuers overworked
Country devastated
Millions in debt
Seek overseas aid
Survivors alone
Families destroyed forever

Earthquake
The earth starts to rumble,
I feel like I am going to stumble.
Everywhere starts to shake,
I hear someone shout
Get under a desk for goodness sake!
I know what’s going on,
It sounds like a great, big bomb.
People are weeping,
Car horns are beeping.
The earth plates are moving,
Although it’s not very soothing.
I hear the crust crumble,
As it starts to tumble.
I’m glad it’s all over,
I didn’t think they occurred in Dover.
I can now carry on with my work,
Now everyone has stopped going berserk.
