Do you know where I live?
This is the place where I live,
The place I breathe,
My heart and soul is here,
Do you know where I live?
It’s not by the river Wyre,
And it’s not near the Eiffel tower,
And once we had a pier,
Do you know where I live?
I take my shower here,
I play my football near,
It’s got a great team,
Do you know where I live?
There’s a famous river near,
Michael Owen plays here,
It’s represented by a bird,
Do you know where I live?
Blackpool is just down the road,
Granada presents here,
It’s a funny old place round ‘ere,
Do you know where I live?

WHERE AM I?
On a map I’m as small as a pinprick,
And in real life I’m not all that big,
Even so many people hold me as the most important place
Where am I?
A religious leader controls me,
I’m the centre of one religion,
But there are only a 1000 people in me,
Where am I?
Many tourists come to see me,
And they come to see my leader too,
They come to see him talk at St Peters,
Well I’m the Vatican City of course.

Liverpool
As
the morning breaks over the river Mersey,
The liverbirds sing to wake up Liverpool,
The new day is dawning.
At the Albert dock,
The tourists flock,
To the birthplace of the Beatles.
Fred the weatherman is sometimes there too,
Telling you to wrap-up warm in bitter spring months.
In the city centre the shops open to a new day of trade,
And as the area is engulfed by shoppers,
Lots of money is made.

A poem about Italy by Ellie
Italy is the home of the almighty pizza
Tower of Pisa and the Mona Lisa
Alpine glens a shine with edelweiss
Lakes like Como and Garda are very nice
You can visit Venice, Sienna and Rome
Sit on a beach, think of rain back home.
