An acrostic poem about wind farms
ADVANTAGES
Way up in the sky they rise
I watch the blades go round as they hypnotise
Near the coast they stand, out of the way
Developing countries, a good place to put them some might say
Fancy that they could generate 10% of our power
All of the happiness they make must make the NIMBY's less sour
Rotating blades that generate electricity
Making enough to light up a whole city
DISADVANTAGES
Whirring and noisy the blades make a racket
I run away because no longer I can hack it
Near roads and motorways they may be built
Drivers will be distracted and crash, who will accept the guilt
For what they produce they're hardly worth it
An eyesore they are, you can't miss them a bit
Ruin the countryside is what they'll do
My back yard is where you wont put them, 'cause if you do I'll sue!
