Water Falls

Waterfall acrostic poem
Whooshing, pushing, gushing over rocks

Attacking every thing in sight

Thrashing, bashing, crushing rocks and things like that

Error, terror, hear the power

Recking, decking, pecking in and out of rocks

Faster, crashier, bashier all around the place

Arting, darting, carting all the rocks around

Looking, cooking, booking in and out like a meander

Lushing, sushing, mushing every-where

By Molly

Waterfall
Waterfalls have wonderful plunge pools

At the top it’s the hard rock

Terrifying plunges faster faster onto the rocks

Every day eroding the softest rocks.

Rocks – there’s too hard at top, too soft at the bottom

That’s a waterfall.

Ferocious water swash onto rocks below

At the bottom it is soft rock

Landing in plunge pool going fast away

Leaving the waterfall starting to calm.

Waterfall

Gushing, splashing, falling waterfall

Toppling off the fall

Clashing in to the plunge pool

Deep and cold and strong

Tan away, it goes down it’s path meaning

Curving tight round the bend,

Flowing slowly

Tickling over pebbles

Splashing against the rocks

Splashing Waterfall
The Waterfall is rushing, rolling,
tumbling, whizzing and then swishing
swiftly at the bottom.

Next the water is getting rougher

and tougher all you can hear is

it groaning, moaning, whimpering and

grumbling too.

Its still going on forever but ….

its night now its calming down

and at morning it will start all over again.

Waterfall Power

The power of a

waterfall is

strong and fast,

cascading down

the whinstone

creating a

tremendous splash, the

strong water

disturbs the

soft shale rock in

the plunge pool

below, where it

turns into rapids

going faster

and slow. The

rapids go round

and round making loud

splashing sounds as

the river goes

up stream swirling

around.

Waterfall contrasts

Shale wears away

Then the whinstone collapses.

The water goes plunging down.

When it does that lots of times it forms a gorge.

The power of the waterfall is immense.

The river is flowing gently.

It does that every time the river comes to a waterfall

The waterfall journey

Waterfalls come down with power

and they are like a big tower

The noise is very loud

You have to shout

and no way is there any trout

The water starts to wear the shale away

The whinstone collapses

By the end of the day

It starts to make a really big gorge

And the whole process starts again

I hope this poem has not been lame

And l hope to see you again and agai

Up

Down

A peaceful waterfall?

A waterfall plunges down the cliff

Banging, crashing, amazing, a Gorge is formed

Whinstone and shale rapidly

Collapses

which turns to

a rocky bed

Powerful water a dramatic feature

Noisy very noisy

Then the river Flows on and o

Waterfalls

The waterfall comes down in a flash

And you can hear a noise splash

The whinstone rock breaks away

Because of shale rock this happens in a day

The rock falls down and forms a gorge

Then it starts over and over again.

The power is fantastic

The waterfall is loud

On top you must be able to see sensational clouds

The waterfall is marvellous

Waterfalls are cool

And also big or small

Have you heard the splash?

Have you heard the crash
