Living in the Rainforest:
A Living Graph Thinking Skills activity

Pupils have to study the graph below and work out where statements which could have been said by people living in Manaus, Brazil,  might be best placed, giving reasons for their decisions. Cut and paste the graph and the sentences into a word processor to make a worksheet for your pupils. You can download the data in Excel format here. 

Living in the Rainforest

  1. Look at the climate graph above which shows the climate for Manaus, Brazil.
  2. Try to work out which month fits each of the ten sentences best. Talk to other people on your table about it.
  3. Write down your reasons for choosing the month you did
