To develop and maintain the quality of geography teaching
throughout the school
In detail
- Promote Geography good practice throughout the school - support and
extend good practice among your colleagues in their classes.
- To prepare the schools Geography Curriculum Policy document.
- Set a good example of classroom practice.
- Be involved in long-term planning for the whole school.
- Work with staff to co-ordinate the preparation and assimilation of medium term planning
(schemes of work) throughout the school.
- Provide guidance to all members of staff.
- Maintain an up to date stock of resources. and equipment and make available to staff
- Monitor and evaluate Geography in school - know what is going on!
- Provide In-service and professional development liaison.
- Be involved in liaison with High school and other Primary schools in the area
