AS Managing Coasts No 6 - Coastal Flooding Assignment

For this assignment you are to produce a case study on a specific example of coastal Flooding.

Examples you could choose are:

• The 1953 Flood of Britain and/or the Netherlands

• The flooding of New Orleans by Hurricane Katrina 2004

• The Bangladesh Floods of 2002

• The Towyn Floods of 1990

• Or one of your choice

For your chosen case study you need to cover the following questions

1. Where were the floods located? - maps/diagrams needed

2. What were the specific physical and human causes of the floods?

3. What were the physical and economic consequences of the flood?

4. How did the floods affect the people and population of the area?

Remember to answer the above questions - you must study relevant pages and not just copy and paste - You can copy any maps/visuals etc but all wring must be your own

You have access to N8 on Tuesday and 6C  on Wednesday or you could try the library - Assignments must be in next Monday
