Geography news is the page that tries to keep up with what is going on in in the world or even in our back yard - it could include recent disasters, news of local developments such as the Millbrook site, the development of the school yard or even what is going on in the actual department. The Volcano Llaima which is situated in Chile in the Conguillio National Park, about 650 km (400 miles) south of the capital, Santiago erupted on the 2nd January 2008.
