Brief description of site contents |
Information of a project aimed at reducing unemployment caused by
rapid population growth. Handicraft items are bought from villages
by a group called Ten Thousand Villages and then sold on. Brief
information is contained about the people who complete the work,
where it is carried out and what materials they are made from.
Images of some of the items are available and they could be used to
represent different cultures.
Links are also available to other countries involved in the
scheme. |
