Once the Prophet Muhammad stopped by the side of a river. He was tired, hot and dusty, for it had been a long day. The river was deep and wide and flowed rapidly between its banks. The Prophet decided to wash in the cooling waters. He found a small bowl, and scooped some water into it. His companions were surprised. There was so much water. Why did he use such a small bowl? Muhammad replied that even when there is plenty, nothing should be wasted.
